I have a little index card spirals where I've written motivational quotes for weight loss/exercise. I think you might like todays: "Go on a No Nuts Diet. Avoid people who drive you nuts." :-)

Well, we are halfway done, but my weight is not halfway gone. Boo! I didn't lose anything this week, and actually gained overall which is a little depressing, as I have been really good with my food and exercise. I am just going to take a deep breath and keep going. I also need to make peace with the idea that maybe my body will not let me win this challenge, even if I am faithful. That has to be okay. I will say that this diet bet broke my bad eating patterns and I'm on track now. That's worth $30. I'm still hoping I can lose 1.5 pounds each week until this is over. Hope all is going well for you!

It could be that whatever you ate on Saturday had a bunch of sodium in it or sometimes just monthly cycles will make you retain water and your scale will read higher. Don't panic; I'm sure you're doing great! Make sure you are eating at least 1200 calories a day (join me on Fitness Pal if you'd like-- easy to track calories). If you go below 1200, your metabolism really might slow down because your body thinks it's starving. I know it sounds counter-intuitive, but you've got to eat to lose! (which I love) :-)

Is this you, Tricia? How did day 2 go? I am doing well so far. All my eating is done for the day, so now I just need to be strong and not eat anything before bed. :-)
