I hope you might find this as powerful as I did.
I broke my fitbit band this week - fitbit is sending me a new band free! In the meantime, I have my fitbit tucked into a hairband on my wrist. I took it off charger this morning and got ready for church and LOST it. Looked a little bit, but left without it. Got home, still can't find it. So I prayed. AND BOY.... God convicted me big time. He told me I rely more on my fitbit than I do Him. Ouch. No, I am faithful, I do my morning devotion and prayer time, I talk to Him all day, I serve... Well God told me that I look at the fitbit more than my Bible. Ouch. Guess God wants more of me. Talk about Total Conviction. So, I'm spending more time with God. Oh, and God showed me grace – I found my FitBit - in the shirt I changed out of this morning, my God is so Good and Merciful to me.
That's one thing i never expected to learn in this weightloss journey, my skewed priorities. I am grateful he loves me enough to teach me that. This is a spiritual journey, and not just a health journey. If I am to be a living temple of the Holy God, I must stop treating this temple as a garbage dump. I think God is honoring my desire to not only do it for my health, but to glorify Him - since that is my true purpose and calling. I need to be praising Him every moment of the day, every step, every lift, every bite.
Have a Blessed Week!

It is absolutely a spiritual journey! I'm thankful God continues to work on me and won't let me stay stagnant! No perfection until heaven but we strive everyday for that high calling! Thanks for sharing!
