Month 1 report:
In January I continued both my weight loss program (lost 9 pounds) and my gradual build up to my first half marathon of the year at Farnborough, UK on the 21st - in wet, windy sleet. I ran the HM in 2h24, the second best time I've ever done and since then I've run two 10 milers on subsequent Saturdays. The first a straightforward, undramatic 1h53 at a flat pace followed by yesterday's 1h50 - a Personal Best - with negative splits of 57m and 53m respectively.

The weight loss is aiding my running and the running is aiding my weight loss!! On now to February's HM at Hampton Court, the site of Henry VIII's palace, in two weeks!
