  • My exercise sticker calendar for June. Each balloon is a day that I got significant, sweaty exercise. YAY!

  • Heat Index today was over 100 degrees....but I was NOT going to miss the chance to ride my bike. 21 miles. It was a sweat-fest!

  • I have been doing a ton of sweating lately....mostly gardening and bike riding, but sweating none the less. This morning, on the scales, just like every morning, only to find them up a bit. That is always a really disappointing moment, but today, it means "Just keep trying".

It's super hot here right now. Heat indexes way over 100. Sweating is unavoidable lol

Brenda

Tomorrow is supposed to be 96 degrees, but it is my first day no school, and no second job shift, so I am on my bike...no matter what the temperature!

  • I cleaned my house for 7.5 hours today. I worked so hard, I actually got all my steps in doing my chores! That's some pretty serious Father's Day picnic prep!!

P.S. Back on the Fitbit … I need to follow your lead!

Brenda

Leslie, I remember the e-conversations that you and I had on this topic...to the effect that walking, or allowing that to be the only exercise we got was sort of a "cop-out"... That the fitbit allowed us to claim exercise when the steps may have not been the most high-intensity work out. Come to find out that getting rid of my fitbit last year (it died and was never replaced-until now) gave me permission to do nothing. Now, when I have the new one on, I am more inclined to walk during the day, get motivated by the numbers, and keep moving. I am losing weight. It is only one part of the equation, but I was so frustrated with myself, that I am going full retro. Everything that worked for me in the past is back in the fight.

Does anyone have any experience with stepbet? I am considering that to help overall and with my other bets

I tried a step bet a few years back and my phone did not support the software / connection …and I had a difficult time getting out. Lesson test run the system on your phone before you sign up.

Craig

Thanks Leslie. Good to know
