  • My first transformer (Jul 15) just started and I have a question about how the money in each pot is calculated - and I hope you bunch of data nerds can help me out.

    Players: 296, monthly bet 25 $
with these numbers we get mostly round numbers, which makes this post a little easier.

Depending on where on the site I look I get different info about the potsize:

"Dashboard" (left side of attached picture):
    round 1: 3700 $
    round 2-5: 4900 $
    round 6: 16100 $

"Activity -> Round Info" (right side of the picture):
    round 1: 3700 $
    round 2-5: 2500 $
    round 6: 13700 $

The "Activity->Round Info" panel makes perfect sense to me:
round 1: 12.50 $ per player, half of the monthly bet
round 2-5: only players that pre-payed for the entire game payed into this pot so far. => 2500 $ / 12.50 $ = 200 players. That means 200 of the 296 players payed everything in advance and only pay 125$ in total instead of 150$.
    round 6: 13700 $ = (96 x 12.50 $ ) + (200 x 62.50 $)

However now I have a question: I cannot understand the dashboard pot sizes at all. Where do those higher numbers come from?

Hihi, I wish I put that under my math exams "my calculation is too complex to fully explain it, but trust me - I'm right" :D

Haha... That would indeed have been funny.
