I've started some new healthy habits that I'm really excited about! I'm on my 3rd day of actually doing them, and I've lost 2.2 lbs so far. I'm not expecting to keep that rate up by any means... I'd rather my gallbladder not give out for one thing. But it certainly encourages me that my body is happy with what I'm doing. That, and I feel great!

For excercise I do 20k steps, 8 miles, and at least 2 hrs of walking. I aim for a calorie goal 1000 calories above my base metabolic rate.

Nutrition-wise, I refuse to count calories. I'm clinical OCD, and that gets me going in a bad way. Plus, I don't enjoy it or my food, and I can never keep it up for long, defeating the lifestyle purpose. So what I do is really make sure to get half my weight in oz of water, 3 veggies, 2 fruits, and 1 nuts in.

7am Water, 1/2 c Fruit and Either Iced Soy Latte or 1/2 c Chia Pudding

9am Water, 1 c Snack Veggies (Sugar Snap Peas, Grape Tomatoes, Baby Carrots, Baby Bell Peppers, Etc.)

11am Water, 1/4 c Nuts

12:30pm Water, 1 c Veggies, Fiber Bar

3pm Water, 1/2 c Fruit, 1.5 oz Brie

5pm Water

6pm 1 c Salad, Whatever dinner happens to be - protein and carbs. No worries about cals as long as it's "clean" food.

7pm Water

It really seems to be working! I'm feeling good, I don't have to obsess and planning is SO easy, I have energy, I'm full, and the scale is moving in the right direction. Win all the way around!
