I'm a pretty fit guy. I work out 4-5 days per week and have a good educational foundation for fitness. The problem? I like food. The slightly more serious problem? I like bad food. I had shoulder surgery in October and my rehab time turned into a giant excuse to be lazy and eat poorly. Note - I didn't say I put on weight because I couldn't workout. The simple fact is that I put on weight (18-20lbs of it!) because I spent a lot of time in a chair and enjoyed pizza and Christmas cookies. Once my physical therapist cleared me for weight training, I headed back to the gym. My strength is coming back pretty quickly, but my shape...let's just say it's hiding behind my new self.
This diet bet couldn't have come at a better time. I'm already working hard at getting into shape, now I just need to get my diet in line and make a little money. 10lbs in 4 weeks seems like an intimidating number, but with a little motivation and support from the other challenge chasers then I'm sure I'll make it. I'm looking forward to the chance to make a change and help motivate other people.
Bring on the victories, bring on the support, belly's aweigh (pun intended)!!!!
