I am working on establishing the habit of filling half my plate with vegetables at each meal. It's kind of hard to do when I want something sweet. This morning, I slept late and woke up so hungry I couldn't think clearly. I did remember "half vegetables," so I blended a cup of frozen spinach into the berry smoothie I made. I also didn't bother adding a sweetener, which was probably a mistake. The resulting beverage was revoltingly sour, but I chugged it anyway and felt better. Afterwards, I savored a cup of sweet mocha coffee. I don't think I'll go sugar-free anytime soon.

Lunch and dinner were a lot tastier, partly because someone else did most of the cooking. I'm not entirely sure what ingredients went into those meals, but I know I ate a lot of tomato and zucchini. Also, I'm pretty sure the zucchini, like all the other squashes I have eaten in the past month, was grown by my dad and little sister in the backyard. I should join them in the garden sometimes, now that I have a month off from university.
