Just a quick first day blog post - absolutely nothing to report yet, aside from the fact that I wasn't shocked to see my weight.  I have been hovering around this weight for the last 2 years or so and can't seem to get much lower (except this one time, at band camp - last September).  Participating and succeeding in this challenge would mean that in 30 days, I will be 167 pounds or less.  Honestly, a part of me is considering participating in a DietBet10 challenge simultaneously, as it would bring me to my goal weight; however, I am hesitant due to the amount of heavy lifting I have started to do.  Muscle building while shredding fat could potentially result in slow moving numbers on the scale.  Hm.  Something to think about tonight.

My goals for this challenge are the following: 1) lose 4% of my body weight in 30 days, 2) meet like-minded challengers for mutual support (30 days and beyond) and 3) inspire friends and family to join-in on this or  future challenges.

And how to I plan on achieving these goals?  1) carb cycling (2 LC, 1 HC, 2LC, Free Day), 2) working out three times a week with my PT, 3) attending two lunch time yoga classes at work, 4) fasted cardio at least three mornings a week, and participating in a minimum of one HIIT/muay thai class at the gym.  Maybe this sounds a bit optimistic, but the reality is, I'm already doing 90% of this.  At this point, I really need to get the cycles down right (no fats on high carb days, no fruits on low carb days... gr.) and stay away from NIGHT TIME EATING!  Does anyone else have this issue?  100% clean ALL DAY, then 9pm hits and you could make a gourmet dessert out of nothing but peanut butter and an old package of Bisquick that you found in the very back of your kitchen cupboards?!

THIS WEEK'S GOAL - Stick to the cycle schedule and NO eating after 7pm.

Sending out positive, successful vibes to all the challengers!
