Hi everyone!

I study nutritional science and this is not my first diet - it is my first diet on dietbet, though. (And also my first blog!)

In fact, i've spent a lot of time dieting. Partly because it's interesting to observe your bodys reaction to what you do. For example, I hated low carb! I hated it so much, I gave up after 3 days!

Of course I also did the dieting because I get cravings during exam prep. Guess most of you know how it is... Had to get rid of those extra pounds.

I spent most of the time doing "flexible dieting" aka "if it fits your macros". I weigh everything I eat and calculate the macronutrients and calories. By doing this, I avoid eating to much as well as I avoid eating too little, which would lead to a loss in muscle mass. Also, I stop wondering whether I can allow myself to eat something (and I do that a lot when I don't track what I eat). Last but not least, I get a feeling for the size of portions and the macronutrients of foods.

This ist also the first time that I have a serious goal. Before, I had a daily intake of 1600 kcal when I was dieting and just watched what happened... (I did loose weight, but it took time...)

So, for this month, 1400-1500 is the goal and I'm even thinking about adding some kind of cardio activity. Dietbet is a real motivation - I keep you informed :)

Cheers
