I'm young, i'm within an average weight range, and I don't necessarily have a bad body image, and yet i've joined this dietbet for so many reasons. my health since i've left high school has definitely not been the best. my stress levels increased as i began university causing me to develop glandular fever (mono for all you americans) and through many other medications and increased unhealthy eating my body turned from a well oiled machine to run down slob.
Now don't get me wrong, looking at my stats i don't seem unhealthy, however as a result from an increase in unhealthy eating and a severe lack of exercise, i've developed high cholesterol. I know right, high cholesterol for a 19 year old seemingly healthy girl, not good! and that's why i've joined. the 6 month transformation will not only help me lose a bit of fat, decrease my cholesterol and increase my health all round, it will also teach me good habits to make this a lasting change.
My whole life i've made excuses for myself, the whole YOLO mentality. but not anymore. no more binging on chocolate at midnight and then feeling horrible for the next day, no more avoiding exercise with petty excuses only to hurt myself further, no more whinging and whining about how i want to get in shape and improve my wellbeing while my loved ones have to sit there and listen to yet another empty promise i make myself. I will do this, and having accountability and a good support network here on dietbet, for the first time i truly beilieve myself when i say i will do this.
so I look forward to meeting everyone and having you all help me on my mission, and hopefully i can help you along the way also :)
