I'm officially pre-diabetic. I want to be officially not diabetic. So, I'm all in.

Weight loss is a little tricky for me since having a total thyroidectomy 8 years ago. I have to have regular bloodwork to check my thyroid levels and other things.

Today, everything was out of whack, and we're working on that. On top of that, my blood pressure was high. That never happens to me and I'm pretty sure it was the cuff size. I mean, it has never been sky high like it was today. I'm going to start monitoring that at home on a regular basis to make sure it was a fluke.

So, I'm going to be cutting the sugar and cleaning up my carbs as well as adding a little exercise in there.

I'm planning to keep a streak calendar including:

  • taking meds on time
  • going to bed at a decent hour (before midnight)
  • getting enough sleep (7+ hours)
  • taking a daily multi-vitamin
  • getting at least 5000 steps/day to start
  • logging my food, weight, exercise into My Fitness Pal

When I plan to do this, I always succeed. Always. When I don't plan, I fail. Always.

I'm ready to succeed!
