So where I work we have "potlucks" all the time. (I use the term potluck very loosely because usually instead of bringing a dish, everyone pays a few dollars and a small group of people purchase and prepare all the food.) This is of course a huge problem for anyone trying to watch their weight because there is usually such a wide variety of food. I of course want a little bit of everything... but by the time you do that your plate is piled so high you can't even see over it! So my new solution is going to be to pile my plate as high as I want to, but then only eat half of the food. Then I can reheat the other half for lunch the next day. It is a double benefit because I get to eat all the food I wanted, and my money is now paying for two meals instead of one. Let's see how strong my resolve is at the next potluck.
