My blog is one that most of us can relate to. Nothing real new.

I have begun a weight loss journey before back in 2014. I did well but, life had its set backs. I was spreading myself way too thin, had a stress induced heart issue that I had been dealing with for 6 years and as I lost the weight, the medications would no longer work. So, I had the inevitable ablation with success. By the time I had the surgery, I couldn't walk on the treadmill with out blacking out. I let this and my recovery derail my forward progress.

It wasn't a complete failure as I had gone from 253 lbs to 212lbs in about 6 months. However, in December, I had I microtear in a bludged disc. Think I would have rather given birth with no drugs. Wholly cow!!!

The failure came when I didn't get back on the wagon. I had maintained my weight but have gained back almost 16lbs of it.

I tend to set goals for myself every year. Personal, educational, professional, health, and spiritual. And I usually have one majorn goal that becomes priority to me. Last year, we built a home! This year I will attain my goal weight of 150 and change my lifestyle to incorperate exercise and activities into my and my families life. Taking us from the couch to being healthy.

So today it the first day of the rest of my life. Glad to have you along on my journey!
