So this blog thing is brand new to me but when dietbet suggessted it I thought it would be a good way to journal my "trying to keep healthy and keeping my weight down" journey since my life has been full of weight loss ups and downs.  Maybe I can track a pattern when my weight jumps up but at the very least  I believe the journaling/blogging will help me to stay committed since I am going to try to be writing as often as I can.

So about me, I started DietBet about 2 years ago and lost approximatley 50 pounds but slowly put it back on over the last 2 years.  Ive done weight watchers on and off most of my adult life and although its worked for me most the time when I was committed to it, I recently started a 21 day fix program which is a healthier approach so I think I would like to continue with it.  Plus the dvds that come with the program are excellent and much cheaper and takes less time then going to the gym.  Ive owned a fitbit for almost 3 years and will also incorporate walking into my daily regimen. 

I start a new dietbet in 3 days and will start another transformer dietbet on Jan 19.  I just finished a transformer and got to my goal weight even if I did not win every month, 3 out of 6 isnt bad since I did reach the final last months weigh in (by the skin of my teeth).

Im 49 years old, have 4 grown boys and will be a new grandmother soon to 2 granddaughters, one is due Jan 27 and the other is due March 2.  Very happy and excited at this stage of my life.  I live by myself as I am going through my 2nd divorce, thankfully my current husband and I have no children together so I think the divorce wont be too difficult even if a little emotinonal at times.  I rely on God to get me through this rough patch of my life but do realize it could be so much worse.  I dont much care about my weight as much as I am wanting to make myself healthier as I start to get older, but am thankful that I am fairly healthy for my age.

I will try to blog tomorrow as I will start a new round of my 21 day fix and will try to weigh in early for the dietbet which begins in 3 days.
