I am walking significantly better than the first 5 days of surgery. It is now 1/22, surgery was done on the 14th. During the first couple of days it was extremely difficult for me to eat, lost some weight, at most ate a jello and fruit cup but now have been able to eat more solid food like a bowl of pasta. I feel as though I missed eating and find that I am borderline binging so I am trying to control myself by eating healthy alternatives. One thing's for sure I have not reacted well to some sugars and definitely no to some proteints (chicken and beef still no good). I am sleeping smoothly into the night and I have managed to learn to get up by myself so long as I turn to my side (I sleep facing up for now) prop a pillow between my legs and use a chair next to my bed to lift myself up, or get onto the bed again. I am no longer using my crutches to walk ( I needed them badly the up until 2 days ago) and still walking a little hunched. I feel a little paranoid about just sitting back on anything because my belly still hurts. I was able to take my bandages off 2 days ago but it was a little gross and somewhat painful because they were really nicely put on, one of them. Some of the cuts were a little itchy but so long as I keep them moistened with neosporin they are ok in this dry winter weather. Today I was able to walk 1/4th of my block, slowly. I have 2 weeks before I return to work full force and am trying to recover as fast as I can. Jerky tummy expansions are still a big nono (Yawning, Sneezing, coughing = NO). My belly is still chunky despite weight loss and I am wondering (hoping) it's just inflammation but then again I have never had a flat tummy. Maybe this year.

Tommorrow's goal is to walk up and down my stairs at least 20 times since I wont be able to walk outside with the potential for snow and it would be great leg strengthening.

I was told that I should start birth control pills to ensure I protect my left ovary (it already has a cyst on it but not as big as the 9.5 cm one that was just removed). I am hoping exercise and diet will significantly aid in this. I have heard a lot about going wheat free/dairy free/minimal to no animal protein/egg free.
