So, I went on a road trip this week, and packed as much healthy food as I could. I visited friends for a few days, and was tempted to indulge with them. My goals, my bet, and DB Fitness Warriors helped to keep me in line! I even went to an amazing restaurant and splurged on Ahi Poke Nachos, (even though I had promised myself, NO CHIPS) but when the dish arrived, the chips were so greasy and unappealing that I ended up scraping the ahi off onto the side salad I had gotten! It was so much better that way! I actually preferred no chips! Yes!

I immediately checked the scale when I got home, I haven't gained a single oz!! I haven't lost anything, but I consider this a HUGE victory!

I've also learned alot about myself in the process. During the drive home, I offered to take on the dreaded rush hour traffic, as hubs had been driving forever, and was getting cranky. After 1.5 hours of intense stress and adrenaline surges, I had SERIOUS cravings for chocolate or ice cream! I had nothing left of my healthy snacks, and voiced my desire to hubs, who helpfully agreed that it was a bad idea to grab that junky stuff at the gas station. I got to sit in the drivers seat, sipping water and contemplating my response and my old habits. Learning how to breath through it.

Bit by bit, I am making choices, and creating habits that honor this body. I win!
