About a month ago from today I decided I needed to take action of my health. I had a diet plan going into the month of March which had worked really well last year. But last year I fell off because of a lot of factors. Depression, loss of motivation, and money. One of my big goals last year was to get to a body weight of 150 lbs by the end of the year. I got to about 159lbs but slowly through the following months and a lot of McDonalds, I gained back a lot of wieght and fat I peaked at a weight of 189lbs in February of this year. I had a plan going into this year but I needed something to keep me motivated. This year I wanted to work on my personal finance a lot more and have a lot more knowledge about money and how it works. I then found out about DietBet throught one of Tim Ferriss's blog post on his website. I have his four hour body book which laid out my diet and excercise plan but I didn't know what accountability tool I should use to help me stay motivated through my health journey. He posted about DietBet and I became really interested. In the last couple weeks of March I joined a DietBet Kickstarter called "March Madness". I slowly loss wieghts within the following weeks of March and eventually won my DietBet. Although my journey with the "March Madness" kickstarter, I learned how powerful an accountability took can be. Whether it's one of your close friends helping you out with your finances or a online coach keeping you accountable for your health. Having accountability will motivate you to stay focus and on track to whatever goals you set up for yourself. Although my health journey is far from over, there is always something you can learn from the world. Life is what you make it but it's up to you to take what you deserve.
