I am very happy with the success and results from my October Transformer - but after I made my goal I went along at a maintenance mindset - enjoying happy hours and being a little exercise "lazy" with the excuses of Plantar Fasciitis, bone spurs and a recent diagnosis of degenerative arthritis of the knee.

Well, towards the end of the October Transformer I re-evaluated where I am actually at and where I need to be to heathier and enjoy more vitality.  And guess what, as scary as it is, I now realize in order to reach my ultimate goals of being healthy and having more vitality - I NEED to lose more weight to reach my physical goals.  And I KNOW that as I lose the weight the symptoms associated with my Plantar Fasciitis, bone spurs and arthritis will diminish.

So I pulled my big girl pants back up and joined the April 26th Transformer and chose Ali's Lose Big & Live Big to really kick-start the next step of my journey.  A bonus is I get to be part of Ali's personal journey as well.

Thanks Ali!!!!

My personal plan for success is:

  • NO alcohol for the duration of this kick-starter.  It is only 28 days - I made a calendar to mark them off LOL.  I put my "Por Favor ... NO BEBIDAS PARA MICHEL" in Spanish because it reminds me that I am going to be healthier next year when we go to Mexico.
  • Use myfitnesspal.com to set, plan and track my food goals (working so far) – When I put in my weight, duration, activity level and goals - my daily, balanced meal goals are 1,200 calories – which is WAY too hard for me to guestimate.
  • Move for at least 10 minutes 3 times a day before my snack, lunch and dinner
  • While I usually prefer to make my own meals, I am allowing myself to incorporate some frozen prepared meals for these 28 days so I can save my "footwork" for exercise instead of time in the kitchen.

ps.. I have already ordered some new pants that actually fit me - as I have already lost 20 pounds on this journey ;)
