I weighed myself this morning, as a preliminary to the official weigh-in and got quite a shock.

This is within 5 pounds of my highest weight ever!

There has been a lot of stuff going on in my life lately, and I have not been focusing on eating well at all, but I am still shocked.

On the plus side, I feel that much of this will come off quickly, as it has to be 'bad eating bloat'.

On the negative side, I am now worried that my first month's loss will look suspiciously fast.

But nor do I want to have two days of being super strict even before I begin to diet. Dang it, I was planning on nachos today.

Sigh.
