“You have 2 days to lose 4.3 pounds.”  Yup, I did it again.  Buried a hole for myself and now I gotta dig out.  Thankfully, I’ve learned from this mistake and intend to not do it again! 

Trying a combo of Calorie Cycling with my hubby AND will do the Three Day Detox Diet that Teresa Marie recommends – a combo plan, if you will!  Today is a “high carb” day technically because tomorrow I am running.  But since it’s also Day One of the Detox, I need to be careful.

This morning I weighed 139.8 pounds.  I need to be at 135.5.  Here we go…

7:30am:  So – breakfast is a Protein Shake made with 1 cup almond milk, 1 cup blueberries, 1 scoop vanilla protein powder, and 1 tablespoon chia seeds.  Had 16 ounces of water after the shake, and another 16 ounces of water with my morning meds. 

10:00am:  Today is Labor Day so we hit the gym a little later – but it was an EPIC workout.  Circuit Training for about 35 minutes, 5 minutes on the stairclimber and 20 minutes of walking hills on the treadmill.  Very proud of my hubby who ran a 10K on the treadmill this morning!  His longest run ever!  Two 21 ounce bottles of water while we were there.  Water count for the day is now at 74 ounces.

11:30am:  Returned home and split a bottle of tart cherry juice – 130 calories a piece.  Goal being to sip this slowly before we have our lunch. 

12:30pm:  LUNCH was ¾ cup of whole wheat pasta, 2 cups of steamed broccoli with 2T parmesan cheese and ¼ cup of my hubby’s homemade marinara sauce.  My goal was to chew every bite 30-50 times and time my meal.  It took me 12:36.14 to finish.  I would like to be able to stretch that meal out to at least 15 minutes in the future.  The time included drinking two Kleen Kanteen bottles of water (as well as refilling them).  At this point in the day, I’m at 106 ounces of water.  And there’s still a half a glass of the tart cherry juice for later J.

2:19pm:  Need more water stat, because my belly is grumbling.  Chaz makes a snack of Lime Chili almonds and dried cranberries.  I have two almond pieces and one cranberry.  And log it!  J

3:04pm:  just went for a walk around the block.  I’ve “won” 5 hours of Nike Fuel today and am at 63% of goal.  A few more strolls around the block should do it for later on.  It’s hot today.  Really hot. 

3:50pm:  Skipping the walk for this hour, but I eat a small handful of grape tomatoes, about 10 calories worth.  The hubby drank most of the rest of my tart cherry juice, but that’s okay.  I’m at 138 ounces of water for the day so far!

4;51pm:  I finish the pureed veggie soup from Teresa Marie’s 3 day detox recipe.  I somehow double that Charles will eat this, but I’m quite enjoying it.  Make sure you really blend it so it’s smooth enough and you’ll get quite a silky consistency.  The cayenne pepper is a great kick and I can taste the spicy mustard, too. 

8:39pm:  a few more Kleen Kanteens of water and I finish the day at 186 ounces of water.  That’s about a gallon and a half!  I feel rather “unhungry” which surprises me.  We’ll see how it all turns out in the morning!!
