Well, it took forever to find a damn camera and get weighed in.  I was ready to just forfeit the whole thing. But, pushed a little harder; found the camera; uploaded the pics; couldn't find them on the computer; looked and looked and looked (and popped a can of soda...tsk tsk); found 'em; loaded 'em backwards; said screw it and went to bed.

That was last night.  Tonight, I get home and there's a message asking me to do it again (cuz I wrote down both words instead of just one).  Sheesh...  Done.  Accepted.

And now here I am with just 13 days to go.  What can I accomplish in those few days?  I don't know.  It may not be enough time to get any habits formed or unformed.  It is certainly not enough time to lose 8 pounds - the way my body works.

So.  I am setting some new goals - some that I will have a better chance to meet.  What are they?  Hold on!  I am SETTING them now....  Any ideas?

Okay.  Here's one:  I am going to TRY to eat a bit healthier.  Today, I drank water instead of soda.  I even grazed the salad bar downstairs.  Then I untried and ate three  snack packs of peanut butter M&Ms cuz my tummy was growling.  So.  I'm gonna call today a victory cuz the trys won 2-1.  Yay me.

Next goal:  add another flight of stairs to my daily travails.  Each morning I go up two consecutive flights of stairs when my train arrives.  I considered going down and back up again before waddling on to work but, at my advanced age and fitlessness, decided it might not be a good idea.  Maybe I will try and add a non-stressful (no mob impatiently swarming around you) flight or two around lunchtime, eg walk down and up 15/18 instead of catching the second elevator.  Will try to remember to test that one out tomorrow.

And so the journey begins...
