Hi all!  I JUST found out that we can blog and I'm super excited!  I've been keeping my own private blog / journal now for oh...almost 6 years.  I love going back over what I've written, to see my ups and downs, my successes and learning experieneces.  Note that I used the term "learning experiences" instead of "failures".  I refuse to use the term failure when referring to myself.  I am NOT a failure...and neither are any of you beautiful people - always remember that. xo

So for my first DietBet blog post I'm going to give a quick overview of my past leading up to joining my first DietBet challenge.

Rewind to December 2010.  I knew that over the years I was gaining weight but I truly didn't comprehend how much I had gained until I hopped on the scales one day and discovered I weighed more than I did at 9 months pregnant.  I was devastated.  So I gave myself a stern talking to and immediately went on the hunt for how I could get me healthy again.  Along came Mr. Tony Horton and P90X.  I fell in love with the program; however it was never easy and I fell off the wagon more times than I care to admit, but I stuck with it!  Even though there were many ups and downs I'm proud to say Tony & P90X helped me lose 40 pounds and get in the BEST shape of my life!

Fastforward to today (there is a CRAP ton of stuff that went on since that time, but it's way too much to put in here!).

I've gained back 30 pounds and am now pretty much in the WORSE shape of my life.  I have horrible eating habits, I do little to no exercise and I drink way too much beer.  I'll be 42 in December and I really should have myself straightened out better.

Anyway, I've wanted to get back into the swing of things for a while but was lacking motivation.  Last week I was scrolling through FB and who should pop up but my pal Tony Horton, encouraging people to join his DietBet.  I knew right then that this was something I NEEDED to do and this was what was going to get my mojo running again...and here I am!

I'm going to post on a regular basis (or at least try to).  It's more for me to keep me accountable, but if any of my DietBet peeps are following along, welcome to my journey!
