Hello! My name is Jenay! Quick background info, I am 31 have four beautiful children, struggled through some hard times in my 20s, relied on food, become a junk food junkie and let myself go! That basically sums it up in a nutshell!! Over the past two years, my husband, our kids and my life has changed in so many great ways. One of the best choices we ever made was moving our family from California to Kansas. We reside in tiny town with a population of about 700 amazing people! Our town is often referred to as Mayberry, it was just an instant fit for us!

Last March, a friend of mine invited me to join a bootcamp class that she instructs. And let me tell you, it is awesome! We meet 3 morings a week at 5 am, rain or shine! It is so difficult and challening, yet totally awesome. In my nine months in bootcamp, I have lost inches off my body, toned up and become stronger. Last summer the bootcamp girls encouraged me to try a 5k. Though the thought of me running a 5k sounded insane, I wound up running 3 of them! This past year has opened so many fitness opportunites for me. I am learning a lot about my health, endurance and strength.

One issue that I cannot seem to get passed is that good ol' scale! Alougth I have lost inches off my body, I can't seem to make the scale go down. If I am being honest with myself, I know why. Exercise is great but it almost means nothing when your diet is garbage. Food is my biggest issue. It's an area where I am mentally very hard on myself. I have changed a lot of bad habits for example we do not put soda in our fridge nor do we stock the cupbords with snack cakes of any kind. We buy a lot of fruit and prepare healthy meals. So that all sounds great and I guess i derseve a little credit for that. But here are the two main issues, I have never had a "Full" switch, I can just over eat like nobody's business! Problem number 2 is caving when I am in town running errands, wether it be gross fast food or snacks and energy drinks at the gas station.

My diet needs a lot of work. Since Halloween, I have made small goals for myself, diet wise, to get through the holidays. So far that has gone well! Now it is time to make some 2017 resolutions and this time, actually conquer them! So excited to try out diet bet, especially with Chris and Hiedi! My kids love watching reruns of Extreme Make over, with me! They think the Powell's are pretty awesome, just as I do! 84 lbs will get me to my goal 130!! Lets do this!!!!
