I'm about a month away from reaching the big five-o and I'm four weeks away from a spectacular weekend get-a-way. I have a few hot dresses and skirts I want to get back into for that weekend.

And that's the reason I joined Diet Bet. For Me, Myself and I. Selfish, I know, but I don't care what others think! (At 50, you get to stop caring about what other people think! LOL.) 

So my 4% is a little less than 5 pounds, but I'll take the full 5. 

What do I propose promise vow to do? (Four weeks isn't enough time to fool around! This is all a MUST!)

  1. EAT CLEAN. That means no dairy, no sweets, no simple carbs, no snackie-poos.
  2. Drink lots of water. 
  3. Exercise DAILY. With or without a tracker. My Apple Watch might break me out (#nickelallergy), but that's not going to stop me from burning 400-500 exercise calories per day.
  4. Sleep 7-8 hours per night. Just make it happen.
  5. Take stairway breaks. Walk up and down the stairs 5-10 minutes at a time througout my day.
  6. Surround myself with images and quotes that promote healthy living.
  7. Find a support group that will cheer me on! (DONE!)

I know it's only 5 pounds, but there are a lot of Doritos out there and a lot of pints of ice cream. My goal is to lead the kind of life where I can walk down the ice cream aisle of a store and not want to know if they're carrying Brownie Batter or what new ice cream flavors are out there. 

It takes 21 days to make a habit and I've got 31 days to get it done!
