It was my birthday in February and I was at the worst weight of my life! Procrastination at its best was at play.... I was avoiding my continuous weight gain and it got to a point that I gave 0 damns about it. I have a knee problem. I had a knee surgery back in 2013 and I lost a whole bunch of weight back then, approximately 50 lbs (no thanks to my efforts, I just got really weak after surgery). I was at 195 lbs when I hurt my knee and after about 3 months I was at 145 lbs. This kind of weight loss obviously doesn't stick around unless u work hard at it and  over the course of last 3years I gained it all back and then some. In February 2017 I weighed in at 211 pounds. Yes 211! I was depressed AF for a week after my birthday. I was also having knee problems again so I decided to go see my surgeon. He saw me, and immediately he said u should lose some weight, imagine my embarrassment.... he told me that because I weighed so much I was thinning out the cartilage in my knee and developing arthritis, that was the moment I decided no more of this! I came back home and researched everything possible. Excercises, diet plans, healthy living, whatever possible to kick me into a healthy lifestyle.

Now it's been a month and a half and I have had some ups and downs with my diet and excercise, but overall have lost around 9 lbs. I cannot wait to get below 200 lbs. but I am really proud of my achievements. The healthy weight for my height and body type is from 120-135 lbs, so that is my goal. I have approx. 80 lbs to go still.

I discoved dietbet just yesterday and thought that blogging was a really insipirational way to keep me motivated and hopefully motivate others as well.I will keep writing a blog post every week to keep me on track and if anyone has questions, I will gladly answer those as well.
