Welcome to our groups First Diet Bet!!!!  I am so happy you are thinking about participating with us in a fun weight loss challenge.  

DietBet is an exciting way to socially lose weight.  You are placing a $35 bet that you will lose 4% of your weight in one month.  This is a very safe and attainable goal.  If you lose the 4% you will be guaranteed your $35 back.  If anyone in the group is unable to lose their 4%, their money goes into the pot and all the winners split the pot (there is a possibility that you can earn even more than you invest.)  My goal is to help you all get your $35 back!!!  No one wants to throw away money and knowing that you will lose it should help motivate you to move and get healthy.  

I have wrote in my business articles about taking care of ourselves.  When our minds and bodies are healthy, success will surely follow.  Let's take a little time to put ourselves on the priority list.  I understand you are busy.  I am too.  I have 3 kids, 2 dogs and a husband that is rehabbing from a major motorcycle accident.  I understand the stressors of everyday life!!! But, I know my health has to be a priority and I am the only one in charge of that.  If I want to see change, I have to be the one to initiate it.  I have unfortunately been stress eating and packing on the pounds over the last few months.  I am ashamed and embarassed, but I am not defeated.  I am ready to change and I invite you to change too.  

If you are currently experiencing any health issues, weight loss is a great way to combat those symptoms.  Even a modest weight loss can improve your blood pressure and cholesterol levels.  For example: If you are 200 pounds and lose 5% of your weight, that would be 10 pounds.  Those 10 pounds would make a huge difference to your overall health even if you are still considered in the "obese" range.  

This is a journey.  We don't expect you to go from 200 pounds to 120 in 1 month.  That is dangerous and scary and wouldn't benefit anyone.  I will share with you some custom meal plans that you can adapt to your own needs.  When you join, I will add you to a private Facebook group where we can motivate and encourage each other.  I will aslo be doing exclusive Freebies for the group <3  and giveaways.  

Lets say we have an ultimate goal of looking good by Christmas.  If you are starting at 200 pounds and lose 4% each round your results would  approximately look like this:

June 1st- 200 lbs

July 1st- 192

August 1st- 185

September 1st- 177

October 1st- 170

November 1st- 163

December 1st- 156
