Well, here I am in round two. Just finished an October Kickstarter and Now doing the November Kickstarter. doint the Hi-stakes games becuase that is too much money for me to lose. The lower amounts I can say....well I've lost more money on worse things, so didn't want to give that a chance to creep in.
Training for a 5K at the end of the month and hopefully some 10Ks next year, and a Tough Mudder. Can't wait for that...I think. Running my butt off to try and improve my time. Ran a 5K the middle of last month after a week of running. A friend shamed me into it. She didn't want to run alone and well I caved. I figured I would take about 45 mins, but took 41 so I was thrilled. There were hills in that thing that would make Mt. Everst seem trite. Ok, so not that bad, but steep and long. Never want to do a course like that again. My friend finished in like 24 something and came back and ran the last 1/2 mile with me so that was very nice. She ended up getting first overall female so I was super happy that I did go to see that, since she would have been alone otherwise. So, we are running again at the end of the month. Cut my time down to 39:21 so far and mad at myself for slowing down cause I might have broken 39, but...next time. I try and do a sort of pace run once a week or so...maybe more time inbetween. I stagger slow, interval and a bit fast pace, then I do a "run". It seems to work for me, so hope I can shave more time off. Of course losing weight it helping big time!! So, looking forward to more coming off.
Next weekend (Nov 11th) doing a Zombie Fun run in a local Halloween horror thing. Should be great fun. Some obsticals on that course as you are running away from Zombies (though I hear they are not so fleet of foot) so shouldn't be too difficult.
I recently, like yesterday, purched a FitBit Alta HR and it says I have already completed about 4K steps and that is just walking from the kitchen to the bathroom. Yes, I have some adjusting to do, lol. I see that driving can cause that to happen, so did some reading and made an adjustment and we will see what happens.
That's it for now. Getting on the treadmill to do some interval stuff. I suppose I will have more interesting updates as I actually do something :-)
Cheers
