I have started 2018 weighing 10st 12lb. I'm really proud of my progress and my DietBet streak, so far 4 wins and no losses! I can't wait to continue smashing my goals and make 2018 the year that I am at my fittest and healthiest.

I want to continue doing lots of cardio and losing overall body fat, but I'm also now interested in targeting specific areas, in particular my stomach and my arms. I've never actually got to this stage before, of wanting to tone or use weights etc, so it's all new territory. Thank God for my boyfriend who has knowledge of gym equipment, good workouts and form. I've started doing 10 minutes per day of (attempting) push ups (I did my first ever push up on 31 Dec 17!), 10-20 sits ups, then 20-30 squats. I know, I know, it's nothing impressive. Yet. (Watch this space!)

Anyway I really don't want to become that person that only ever talks about how much weight they've lost, what they've eaten today, or how many steps they've done this week. Yes, I want to lose weight and be healthy, but I don't want it to define me. I don't want to overhype it or overthink it, it's a lifestyle change not a phase. So, here are some of my other goals for 2018:

  • Complete my Level 3 AAT Accounting course and progress onto Level 4 in September
  • Spend less money on pointless shit and build up my savings account
  • Live more frugally (see above) by making small changes, e.g. shop at Aldi instead of Sainsburys
  • Take up reading again (at least 10 books by the end of the year)
  • Get my hair cut and re-dyed
