And by lose it, I mean fat. I'm not encouraging you to lose your purse. Or your mind...

So HI! I'm Emma. This time last year, I was classed as super morbidly obese. Now, I'm merely overweight - yay! I started my journey in January 2017 after spending the Christmas/New Year season feeling self-conscious, miserable, and just generally stuck. I spent the first couple of days of 2017 feeling anxious about seeing friends and attending a family get-together, and so I just didn't go to either. I sat inside, bingeing on Netflix and food. Which is something I used to do a lot.

I once again made the classic New Years' resolution of promising to lose weight, and had absolutely no intention of keeping at it. Except something weird happened; forced effort became genuine effort, which turned into RESULTS. To date, I've lost 77 lbs, with about another 30 to go.

I've trialled a few different methods and motivation tricks throughout the year, many of which I share on my insta (emma.islosingit). I'd love to host a dietbet game to share more of these, providing any coaching to anybody who needs it! I've done many dietbet games over the year, and I owe much of my success to it. The no-judgement environment is absolutely great, plus it's a GREAT place to brag about how you just owned the treadmill, or how you turned down the last slice of cake that Aunt Ruth was trying to cram down your throat (NO AUNT RUTH I DO NOT WANT YOUR PLATE OF SIN!).

Now obbbbbviously with this being my first hosted dietbet, it's not going to be a massive group. But, I'll be posting often, maybe throwing in a picture of the cake that Aunt Ruth force-fed me. We can be one beautiful little community <3 <3 <3 <3 (although this amount of love is already making me feel uncomfortable)
