I'm a 50 year old woman who until 2 years ago was fairly active. I love hiking, biking, jogging, walking the dog and gardening. July 17, 2012, changed all that. I fell at work and spiral broke my right ankle, tore the peranial tendon and the meniscus in my right knee. After 3 surgeries and having to wear a special designed ankle brace I can't do all the things I use to. So yes I gained weighted.
I want to get back to hiking, biking, jogging, and walking the dog. I want to get rid of this brace, which hopefully will happen after surgery #4. I figure if I can loose of the weight I gained while being couch ridden it will help with the joints and the swelling in my ankle.
I feel like i'm in the prime of my life and want to take on the world. My goal is to make to the top Half Dome, Yosemite and not just look at from afar. So here we go, I'm in for the long hall.
Good Luck to everyone and may the scale be with us. :)
