Turning 50 is one big bitch slap when it comes to agreements you thought you had with your body. I just signed up for a 10k run which I have not done for 15 years, because when you live in Kauai - it is always too hot, or  . . .it's raining. Moving here from San Francisco 15 years ago where I was spoiled silly with perfect running weather, a gym around the corner from my office and healthy places to eat - I was rudley awakened by the button bursting off my jeans fly in "Paradise'. Paradise I have found challenging and full of excuses such as giving birth to two gorgeous kids, building a house, fixing up a house, working, grooming my poodles, yard work. Excuses Excuses
I love the idea of dietbet, together with challenging myself to have more structure and motivation to run again I hope to shrink down 20 pounds or soand maybe motivate others in doing so. I look forward to seeing everyones progress and getting some tips along the way. Good luck everyone!
