Yesterday was Day 1. I was feeling a tad nervous but admittedly that's what got me even more psyched.

I weighed in today (I know we shouldn't technically be "married to the scale" as my friend calls it and pay it visits every day but I just came back from the gym and taking a lovely walk and I lost one whole pound. In two days, I lost a pound. I was sure I gained because last night my mother (I live at home) brought jelly doughnuts and an eclair and a black and white cookie (my favorite!) for me and I had some with my blueberry green tea (I'll talk about that later).

I am still so shocked that I lost a pound already. The second I saw that, I texted my friend and told her and she might be a little more excited than I am. Haha.

It seems since I started this Diet Bet that things are getting a little better everywhere. My relationship with my amazing boyfriend (who is also my best friend) is stronger than ever, I got offered to be a private tutor five days a week for a young boy who adores me (in addition to my part time job at a grocery store), my friendships and bonds are better than ever and I recently learned confidence and to believe and trust in myself and the power of meditation.

I don't know if it's the confidence or the tea talking but I have an awesome feeling about this game!

So this tea I keep talking about, I must share with you about it. I love it and I think it's helped me lose the 20-ish pounds I lost before starting this game (along with diet and exercise of course). It's called Yogi Blueberry Slim Life Green Tea and it tastes amazing. I used to drink it with lemon and a little honey but now I just put it with a few slices of lemon in it (lemon and blueberry make a killer combination). I ordered six boxes on Amazon for $17.94.

The tea bags even have cute little messages on the label part of the strong. A couple I had were "True understanding is found through compassion" and "An attitude of gratitude brings opportunities". How cute are they! I love reading those in the morning while making my tea, it's a beautiful way to welcome a new day or end a day.

Enough about the tea (it's making me thirsty just talking about it) haha. I really do feel awesome and I hope everyone else is doing alright and is having good things happen in their lives.

I have a question for anyone that might be reading this, what's your favorite way to work out? I love walking and zumba. I'm interested in hearing what you have to say and maybe I'll look into it myself. I'd love to switch things up a bit.

Stay beautiful and good luck!
