I've been curvy since I was in my late teens.

I went through some difficulties in my life and I turned to food for comfort.

Then I met Jon, 8 years ago and I felt comfortable and happy, so I didn't really think about my weight. We'd also been through some tough times too, the hardest of which is when I lost my Mum in 2009, this didn't help my comfort eating.

Over the years my weight slowly crept up and up. I reached my largest in 2011:

These pictures went up on Facebook after a holiday with Friends. I was mortified and untagged myself immediately.

I've been Yo Yo dieting since and have lost 2 stone since I was at my largest. What has really changed things for me now though is that this year, Jon proposed to me:

We are buying a house (after renting for 7 years) and planning on getting married in September 2016. It's a new and exciting time in our lifes and I want to celebrate the next few years in health and happiness!

I've learnt that change doesn't just fall in your lap so I'm working for it! Jon and I started slimming world together a few months ago and for the past month, I've been following a strict workout routine:

Mondays - Zumba

Tuesdays - Yoga

Wednesdays - Rest (and weigh in at Slimming World)

Thursday - Burlesque

Friday - Jog/30 Day shred...depends on the awful british weather

Saturday - Jog/30 Day shred...depends on the awful british weather

Sunday - 30 day sgred

My goal is to be a healthy 150lbs and live an active lifestyle. It's not just for the wedding, it's for me and my future children.

This time, I'm fighting for my goal!
