I joined a gym this past Sunday.  I haven't been a member of a gym in a few years.  I work long hours and it is hard for me to motivate myself to get to the gym and I always feel like I am wasting money.

THIS TIME WILL BE DIFFERENT...or so I am telling myself.  I REALLY REALLY want to get in shape this time.  I want to be in walking marathon shape at all times, not just one time a year.  I want to lose 60 lbs.

One of the things I really like about being a member of a gym is the variety.  I get bored VERY EASILY.  The one I joined, IN-SHAPE, has different amenity levels.  The one I joined is a Double Diamond gym and is super nice.  There are all kinds of equipment options and different areas to work out in.  There are a variety of classes to choose from, which is great.  I like to mix it up from day to day.  There are three heated outdoor swimming pools and a jacuzzi.

I'm day two into my membership and I am sore.  I am trying not to over do it because I don't want to stop going.  It is on my way to work if I chose to work out in the morning or on my way home if I stop right after work. This works well for me, because frankly, once I walk into my door at night I am done!  Better to stop on the way home.

So I guess I am now officially a gym rat.  Look for me...I hope to be there at least 5 days a week :)
