Lately I have felt no motivation. When I came across DietBet I thought, hey, why not? I decided to start by focusing on the dietary aspect. Counting calories, increasing my water. The weight just melted off for the first week. I quickly became disenchanted with the idea of counting calories. If I cook I have to track the amounts of everything I use and assign caloric values to them. It is highly tiresome to constantly think about a caloric budget and whether or not any meal can fit.

My work schedule is awkward, I leave for work at 10am, tend to have my lunch break at 4pm, and then get home from work at 8:30pm. I do not like eating after 7 pm because then I can't sleep and feel sluggish the next day. So scheduling meals is a disaster. By the time I get home I am starving, and unless I get up early enough I don't have timing to eat two meals prior to work.

I am working on the timing, and know my hydration has been slowing down. To prepare for lunch tomorrow I have unpacked my crockpot. I put in a handful or baby kale, mushrooms, a diced carrot, ground turkey, onion, garlic, and water, along with salt, pepper, cayenne, chipotle, and cumin. It smells great so far and will make prepping in the morning so much faster. Now if only I could make my breakfast tonight too, but eggs aren't quiet the same the next day.
