So I went to the Disney Food and Wine Festival and Party for the Senses this weekend... Probably not the best decision.

Why?

My wife and I have been together over 10 years.  We FINALLY got married and combined houses in July (moving her from New Jersey and me across town).  Since then

- We have moved her twin sister in New Jersey and gone back up to get her settled

- We have brought her dad to live with us here for a month and are working on permenantly (he speaks very little English and I speak very little Spanish)

- Gone on weekend trips with my family 2x

- She has taken her medical boards and started a new job

- Built furniture for 3 rooms in the house

We get 4 days off a month (she wroks 7 days on and has 7 days off and I work M-F about 50-60 hours a week), so the last 4 months have been about everyone else.  Last Wednesday I came home from work and she was very upset about not spending anytime together and never doing anything just the two of us.  She asked if we could go and I said yes.

Once I agreed to the food and wine festival, panic set in... I have a weigh in tomorrow and then 2 more within 2 weeks... This is going to be really bad.

What I learned?

Although I probably will not make the weigh-in for Jillian's Challenge, I am proud of myself this weekend.  On Thursday (with the realization I coudl really blow all 3 weigh-ins) I made a plan. I gathered all the information I could on the booths at the festival and what food choices they had.  I did great food wise (mostely salads and fish dishes), but I failed on the wine part as there were so many to try!!!

Overall I feel this was a win for me... I stuck to the plan I had and didn't gain at all!!!
