I am a married 33 yr old average male who works/lives with 18 yr old and younger kids, 4 girls to be more accurate. They are a handful, as most teens are. And it is a rule in our home that you have to be active; you have to be in groups, clubs, a sport, something to keep them busy. Up until very recently I would occasionally get together with some friends and be active by going for a few miles run. And when I say occasionally I mean once every other week...maybe. Well I have been noticing that I am starting to hurt more and more by doing normal mundane things around the home and with kids. My wife just completed a game last month and won. I saw how motivated she stayed and how much the girls respected and looked up to her for being able to be disciplined enough to achieve her goal. She is doing another game right now and I have now decided that I need to do some changing too. I use to be in pretty good shape. "Use to be" the key words. So I have joined this game and I plan on starting to change my life. Not only for me but for my wife and the kids who I work with. I don’t want to be a hypocrite telling them to be active but me stay home and watch TV. And also with the idea that once you turn 30 you start losing muscle mass every year, which is not a thought I like at all. I am GOING to change and start to do better, in all areas of my life, starting with self-discipline. Which is something else that I use to have that I somehow lost. So good luck to all of you out there reading this. Stay happy, stay motivated, and stay focused. WE GOT THIS!!!
