I have always been naturally overweight... it's always been a struggle for me just to not gain weight. I have to try very hard just to maintain. I lose weight pretty easily though when I do try! I've been successful losing weight twice in my life but since then it's gotten ridiculously out of hand.

Relationships always make me gain weight. I had my first serious boyfriend in highschool when I was 16. I gained 35 lbs and got up to 175. I lost 25 of it to get down to 150 then maintained until I was almost 21. I gained 30 lbs and got up to 180. I ended up losing 22 of it to get down to 158 and stayed there for about 6 months, then slowly gained and haven't stopped.

My highest weight is 247 (a couple weeks ago). I am now 240 and my goal is about 160. Even at 150 I still had room to improve. Once I get to 160 I will re-evaluate and probably work on lowering body fat percentage and building muscle.

I have a bad elbow from an injury when I was 19 and I also have an injured knee from a car accident this past summer. My knee is worse than my elbow at the moment so I can't run which I hate. I LOVE to run so it's been hard not being able to. :( I am able to work my full body as far as strength training, save for certain types of exercises. For now, I will just be doing workouts consisting of: a 5 min cardio warmup + 30 mins of strength training + 20 mins cardio a few times a week.

I'm excited to be back working out and eating healthy. My oldest brother and his wife have been doing Paleo for about a year and he is trying to convince me to do it. I have been easing my way in, eating less starchy carbs... not sure if I will go full fledged Paleo yet. I am hesitant but it intrigues me so we'll see!
