It's amazing how, by a certain age, you begin to feel as though you've lived multiple lives.  The patterns of your child life transition into your teenage life. Then you attempt to liberate yourself through what you think are adult actions, all the while developing habits that you take into your adult life.  Once you sink your teeth and settle your feet into the grounding of being an adult the rewards of your actions during your previous lives comes signed sealed and delivered.  In the best scenario you are successful, happy, with love of family and friends, and no addictions other than coffee and chocolate.  In other scenarios you're are not so lucky. Habits developed in youth become deeply engraved in our psyche.  To the point that we come to think of those habits as natural parts of ourselves.  You haven't always needed a drink at the end of a stressful day.  I can't imagine a baby needing a cigarette in order to take a sh*t. This phase of adult life will seem like a past life within the next 20-30 years. Set yourself up for success.  Every action toward your health and happiness is a cell in the tissue that forms the body you'll wear in your next life. Enjoy every moment. Give yourself positive points of reflection. Leave the past where it is.  If you have today, you have the world.
