Yesterday would've been a total fail if I was counting.  I'm so close to my goal I decided to let go while I hosting a party.  I had my fill of booze, food and snacks.  In all honesty, I had a lot more than I "pre-allowed" myself, but I told myself it's ok because in the long run I feel it's better to let go fully for my one night off, and because of what I did next.  I sent almost every car home with a bag of chips, jar of nutella, bottle of booze etc.  (It was crepe party and most people brought fillings or spreads.)  I realized we want to live life and it's harder to control ourselves in the moment, but we have greater power in setting our parameters, so...

All that's left now -

A.  the fillings I strategically planned to be good for my restart, in case I had leftovers - sauteed cabbage and caramelized onions.  Both low calorie, and cooked to maximum flavor delivery.  There's also smoked salmon.  Not the most low cal choice, but expensive enough for me to maintain my portion control and still have some satisfying indulgence.  :)

and B. The healthy stuff I picked up for the moment after everything else was devoured.  Stuff like edamame, tahini (for edamame hummus thanks to someone on these boards for the idea!), lettuce, and tons of veggies I pre-chopped while I was cooking for the party.   Ah hah.  Now, I don't have to stop to think, make a list, or go to the store. I can get back on track without missing a beat.

Pre-planning for the win.
