In the grand scheme of things I do not believe that anyone is ever truly 100%, honestly happy with how they look. Be it the colour of your eyes, the shape of your nose, or that bob hair cut you got and everyone said you were "cute" but in fact it only served to emphasis your ball shaped head...people always strive for change and improvement.
As it is often said, in a variety of ways, it's what's on the inside that counts. Yes, a person can look a solid 10 but have a personality of 0 and vice versa. In an age where people can be eternally judged for how they appear it's difficult to achieve happiness with your looks. A person can be hated for being socially preceived as "beautiful", and hated equally if they're are marked as "ugly".
Being jealous of the way a person is, well it's pretty much pointless. Don't get me wrong, I have been and still can be jealous of people. Jealousy is a natural feeling, but it helps nothing to be envious of something you don't have or can't do. More often that not you end up unhappy, wailing in self pity and drowning your sorrows in tubs of ice cream. From there the cycle repeats.
The be all and end all of the situation is; yes there are things you can't change. In time you will just have to accept that your head is shaped like a ball and that picture your gran loves of your bob hair cut will always be on display on her mantle piece. Making a difference be it in weightloss, hair colour or your style, is entirely you choice. Don't change a part of what makes you, you for anyone but yourself. The right people will want you just exactly as you are. In the words of R.E.M, here's to being shiny, happy people.
