I've been on a weight loss journey for almost five years.  I set out in early 2010 to lose 50 pounds.  The first twenty came off "easily."   I've kept off that first twenty since then, but have struggled to move beyond.  I have not been consistent in my previous effort, but I am pleased that I've kept off the twenty pounds for this long.

I am tired of not being finished with my weight goal.

I have some big, happy, events coming up and I am eager to reach my goal.  Two weddings, two bridal showers, and an international vacation partially are all on the horizon.

Beyond the big events, I've been getting the bulk of my clothes via Goodwill and hand me downs for the last five years.  Because after all, I'm losing weight, there was no need to splurge on things when I planned to move beyond them.  I am a minimalist by nature and I am looking forward to getting rid of things and indulging on a few quality pieces.

I don't like focusing too much on the scale, so that part of Diet Bet bothers me, but I know I do well when I spend money on myself.

Here's to the beginning of the end of my weight loss journey.  Best to all of you!
