i missed posting day 3 and 4.  Got my hike in on day 3.  Dinner out with DH for an early valentine dinner.  Ate too much bread, but it wa so tasty.  Day 4 was a travel day without many steps taken.  Before I went to bed, I read down the posts on the dietbet game I'm in.  Bruce asked how people handle cravings.  Some, like me, were honest to say that they too often gave in to their cravings.  Others offered wonderful suggestions for overcoming those cravings.  The ones I'm going to remember are:  drink more water (you may simply be thirsty when your bosy thinks it's hungry);  give in to a tiny craving and use self control to stop going further,  exercise instead.  So many encouraging suggestions. Glad I joined this Dietbet.
