I won my first diet bet, but I went too hard at the end trying to make it. Then I got sick and had a birthday, with the result that a week later, I was almost back to where I started. That's not how I want to lose weight! So I reinvested my winnings in a new bet, and am determined to lost the weight slower and healthier this time - a pound every four days with as little of the two steps forward, one step back as possible. Today I ate like crap, which was part of my motivation to start over. But I weighed in, took my friend out for a training run, then came home and did an hour of Pilates. Now to eat a healthy snack and go grocery shopping for a healthy dinner. I can totally do this!
(BTW - The extra money I won is going towards new running shoes for my spring training season. I just got a new job offer, and if I take it, it's going to be VERY physical. I want it to be fun and easy to be working my butt off, not hard. A lot of people use active jobs to get in shape, but I want to arrive already in great shape so that all I have to think about is my acting - not how I'm going to survive the performance day!)
