I think it harder the second time around.

In 2011, I lost 65 pounds in about 8 months. It was a strict diet and I stayed on track. Seeing the pounds come off really motivated me.

Fast forward to 4 years later and I am back to where I started. My weight has TRULY been a rollercoaster losing 30 pounds for my wedding and then rushing off to Columbia to finish an intensive Summer Master's program and it all came back rapidly. (I did it with the assistance of diet pills).

Now I'm realizing that not only does it hurt to have once been successful and knowing that it is really nutrition that creates permanant change, but looking at myself in the mirror and feeling like it is HARD AS HELL this time to lose even 5 pounds, and I am guilty of constantly starting over.

However, on this day March 13th, I joined a 6 month bet, as a symbol to myself that it is a JOURNEY not a QUICK FIX. I will succeed and have to realize that I can't be mad at results that I didn't earn.

So I'm pressing forward, I am successful career woman, and found love, but now I have the most important aspect of life to conquer my health. Excited to see what true consistency breeds!
