I should have listened to my own advice!    I decided to go for a walk today while my husband was in a Poker tournament.  I took a wrong turn and ended up going out the side door of the Excalibur hotel, in an effort to get back to the sidewalk so I could cross over to the New York, New York Hotel I crossed over a landscaped area of grass.  Unfortunately the grass was fake grass carpet and the ground under it was not even, a fact that was completely hidden by the fake grass.  I rolled my ankle and broke it. Needless to say it has been a very long, painful and  frustrating day.  The hotel where it happened and the one I am staying are sister hotels, and to say they have not been helpful would be an understatement.  I asked 3 employees for help at the Excalibur and ended up limping to the tram back to the Luxor where I am staying.  They said since it didn't happen on their property they could either call 911 for me, or I could take a Taxi to an urgent care.  The Taxi driver took me to an urgent care in Timbuktu, charged me over 20 dollars, turns out there are 2 urgent cares within a mile of here.   It was so far away my husband rented a car to pick me up, and so he could pick up my pain medications. The hotel where I am staying was going to charge me 40 dollars to borrow a wheelchair overnight.  They finally comped it, but I had to argue.  My husband was sweet and went to the Mexican place and brought me back food. Thankfully I head home tomorrow, for now, I have an ace wrap and splint on my ankle, it is elevated and iced, time to take my pain medications and see if I can sleep.  Until then I will be reading all of your encouraging posts, trying to figure out how I am going to win this diet bet without exercise.  Happy Saint Patricks day!

PS.   For the record, the fall happened in the morning, and I had not had a drop of alcohol.
