If you "MUST" make cookies this one is delicious and packed with whole grain goodness. Yes, there is sugar... and butter... and calories. BUT there is whole wheat and oatmeal, so you can feel a little better about splurging and feeding them to your kids for breakfast. My personal favorite way to make them is with a combination of mini semi-sweet chips, milk chocolate chips, butterscotch and white chips. We take our cookies and chocolate chips very seriously in this house ;). Dried cranberries and white chips are really good too. Also, I use Bob's Red Mill Whole Wheat Pastry Flour (really any whole wheat pastry flour will do). Its made from soft white wheat and has a milder flavor than the normal hard red wheat- but you still get all of the fiber and nutrients. Enjoy!
