Another dietbet buddy asked what my goals were.  I'd never written them down but have heard that it was important to do.  That being said, here I go...

I hired a trainer who I stayed with from October to February.  I did not have much success.  I went between 3 to 4 times a week.  I believe the lack of results was in part due to my nutrition, the other part was that my trainer wasn't challenging me enough.  I should have cancelled sooner, especially because I had to try two different trainers due to no-shows (four times).  However my mentality was that I did not want to lose out on the money I had invested and I really wanted the results!  I recently cancelled my contract.

Currently, I am looking for a crossfit/hiit type of program.  I went to one on Saturday that I really liked.  I started weight watchers in January and have gradually seen results. It's made me more conscious of how much I am consuming.  However, I still feel low energy a lot of the time.  I want to find the right combination of foods to keep me going.  Right now seems like an ideal time because my body is starting to crave smarter choices, I just don't know what's best to help me lose weight and gain energy.

Where I was and how far I've come...

I stopped weighing myself when I hit 240 pounds so I estimate I've lost between 40 to 50 pounds.  I started my journey in March of last year.

I actually gained weight while I was with the trainer and it was not muscle! That being said, I've lost it.

I had a fitness assessment March of last year, I could barely make it through 20 minutes-we had to stop because I felt like I was about to faint.  Last week, I did an intense fitness bootcamp and made it through 45 minutes.

My goals are the following

1) lose weight

2) gain muscle

3) obtain energy

4) lower risk of high blood pressure/diabetes (it is in my genes)

5) lower risk for miscarriage

6) get more rest
