Stress is going to be the death of me, or at least the weight gain death of me! When I get stressed out, I can either eat way more than needed or hardly nothing at all. Here lately it's been a mix of both. These past 9 months have been the most stressful.

Back in August, my husband was on orders to deploy for the 7th time in his career, and the 2nd time since we have been together. Thankfully it got canceled and pushed back one week before he was scheduled to leave. He had been going through the whole pre-deployment health screenings and what not and was told he needed more test run. Shortly after that he was told he was on orders to move to a different duty station, Fort Drum New York. We were excited and couldn't wait to start a new chapter and adventure in our lives. A few weeks later, we got some terrifying news from all of the medical test that had been run. My husband was having heart problems at the ago of 35. It was a up and down emotional battle for all of us. We have three kids and multiple animals lol. Hospital visits and surgeries followed. My husband is now being medically retired from the Army after serving 17 years. Now we have the stresses of finding jobs and moving back to his home state.

I had lost over 30lbs while he was deployed in 2012-2013. I cleaned up my diet and exercised 5 days a week. Started a new walking trail with my kids in a jogging stroller. I was doing great and was so proud of myslef! When my hubby came home, we did great on our diets and working out. I joined crossfit and my hubby continued it from deployment. I loved the muscle that I was building and my endurance was getting better. My kids were even telling me that I was looking skinny lol (my stomach was getting smaller and so were the stretch marks from four pregnancies). Then we had to stop cold turkey from everything when my hubby was diagnoised with PVCs and ARVD.

I know I didn't have to quit crossfit, but I was then taking care of three kids (then 2, 3 & 11 years old) and my husband. Our world was turned upside down and I had so much stress that I couldn't see straight, mush less workout. Things are now settling down a bit and I do not like who I see in the mirror. It's spring time and I want to be able to keep up with my kids plying outside. We went to the beach a few weeks back and we had so much fun! I felt like a kid again boogie boarding and running on the beach with them, but this extra weight is killing me from the inside out and from the outside in.

The DietBet came at the best possible time! We have joined a new gym and I am changing up my diet. This ends on my oldest sons 5th birthday and a few months before we move to Florida. My goal is to lose 10-15lbs in these four weeks. Get my eating and diet on track. Get my stress under control too!
